I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia Southern University in 1980, Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1988.
From 1988-1991, I did my residency at UMKC/Truman Lakewood.
The training I received provided me with a broad educational background and prepared me to
practice medicine anywhere in the world.
I am especially interested in providing care for underserved, refugee and homeless populations.
Public health and disaster medicine are also of particular interest to me.
Watching medical students mature into compassionate, competent and efficient physicians
is my greatest reward as a member of the TMC-L faculty.
I was honored to be selected the 2008 Family Physician of the Year by the Missouri Academy.
